Gulf Cinema Festival Invites Al Janahi for Panel Discussion
Invited by the fourth edition of Gulf Cinema Festival (formerly GCC Film Festival), which will run from 14 to 18 April 2024 in Riyadh, KSA, Nawaf Al Janahi will be a guest speaker along with Khalid Al Zadjali and Zeyad Al Husaini in panel discussion moderated by Ahmed Al Ayyad that will focus on the future of cinema in the Arabian Gulf. Nawaf Al Janahi Presents Making Short Films Workshop in Bahrain
Organized by Bahrain Cinema Club, Nawaf Al Janahi will be giving his workshop Making Short Films in Manama, Bahrain, from 21 to 23 April 2024.
[UPDATE, 18 April 2024: Due to exceptional weather conditions, the workshop has been postponed. The new dates are from 19 to 21 May 2024.]
This intensive three-day workshop focuses on the journey of making a short film, covering the creative and professional aspects, from choosing an idea to exhibition, and all stages in between. Sessions will be conducted in English, and registration is open to all nationalities. Prior filmmaking experience is preferred but not required. Emirates Airline Festival of Literature Hosts Nawaf Al Janahi
Invited by Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, Nawaf Al Janahi will participate in the official program of the 16th edition which will run from 31 January to 6 February 2024 in Dubai, UAE. On the second day of the festival, he will participate along with Nujoom Al Ghanem in a panel discussion moderated by Hind Mezaina that will dive into why cinema matters. Afterwards, he will present a special screening of Arab short films part of Black Box Cinema roadshow leading to its 7th edition. Both sessions will take place in the evening of 1 February 2024. Additionally, in the morning of third day, Al Janahi will join the jury of Al Futtaim Digital Storytelling Competition, which is designed to encourage teenagers to create short films based on pieces of literature.
